The version 20250904 patch introduced a new store bundle and fixed some bugs related to Discord friend request duplication, custom game, to name a few. The best part of the update is that it came with zero server downtime, meaning you could jump into the game right after installing the patch.

With that said, here’s a complete rundown of the Marvel Rivals version 20250904 patch.

New Peni Parker store bundle

The update brings Peni Parker’s Wasteland Mech bundle to the store, which will be available from Sept. 4 at 9pm CT/ 7pm PT / 2am UTC (Sept. 5).

It’s a wasteland-themed bundle that features a makeover for Peni Parker’s SP//dr suit and has a new emote as well.

Major bugs fixed

The Sept. 4 patch is all about delivering a smoother and more balanced gameplay experience. The duplicate Discord friend request bug, which was causing multiple requests to appear for connected Discord users, has now been resolved.

Display issues related to screen ratios affecting the ability to set costume-exclusive special effects have also been fixed. In the custom game tournament spectator mode, team colors were previously displayed incorrectly, which the update has already addressed. Speaking of custom games, an annoying infinite pop-up loop triggered when canceling password input in locked custom games has also been removed.

Map and hero fixes

Some map-related issues, such as unexpected hero entrapment, unwanted squishing, or placement in unusual locations, have been patched.

On the hero front, before the update, there was an exploit involving Emma Frost and Doctor Strange, where Emma’s Telepathic Pulse and Strange’s attacks received abnormally high boosts against Blade during Bloodline Awakening. This has now been fixed to ensure balance.

Season 4 releases on Sept. 12, and these changes prepare the game better for more content involving new heroes, modes, and gameplay dynamics.
