Do Costume Coins expire in Marvel Rivals?

If you’ve just got a Costume Coin in Marvel Rivals or will soon have one in your bank, you may wonder whether this tiny treasure has an expiry date. After all, it can get you a costume skin for free, so you don’t want to waste it.

A special currency exchanged in the Store, Costume Coins were first introduced with Venom’s Pick-Me-Up Bundle in season 1.5. At the time of writing, you can earn one unit of this coin by participating in the special event related to the Pick-Me-Up bundle. But once you own it, do you get to keep the Costume Coin in Marvel Rivals forever?

Do Costume Coins expire in Marvel Rivals?

Once you earn a Costume Coin in Marvel Rivals, you get to keep it in your bank until you use it. There’s no time limit.

There’s only one way to get a Costume Coin, and that’s by joining the Pick-Me-Up event. If you’re not sure how to get your first Costume Coin, just follow these steps:

1. Purchase the Pick-Me-Up bundle for $2.99. It appears as an event on the vertical menu of the lobby’s left side.
2. Now, enter the event. You can earn several rewards from here, including Chrono Tokens, a Spray, Nameplate, and of course, the coin.
3. But there are a few rules: You can only earn one reward per day, and you can get that by completing three matches in these modes: Competitive, Quick Match, Doom Match, Conquest, and Practice vs. AI.

As soon as you earn all the rewards in the event, you’ll lose access to this bundle page. But don’t worry—you can still use the Costume Coin whenever you like: You’ll lose access to the Exchange Store only after you use the coin.

Should you save Costume Coins in Marvel Rivals?

You can use your Costume Coin from the Exchange tab of the Store page in Marvel Rivals. Unfortunately, you can’t exchange it for any skin you like. You can view all eligible skins under the Exchange tab.

But if you’re wondering whether you should store the coin for the future, NetEase hasn’t indicated any intention to update the eligible Costume Coin skins list if and when new Pick-Me-Up or similar events drop. So, even if there’s a chance you may be able to grab the new X-Revolution Emma Frost costume for free in the future, this is only speculation at this point.
