OLYMPUS Champions Winter takes place in South Korea starting in November 2012 and ending in early 2013. This will be OnGameNet's third major tournament after The Champions Spring and The Champions Summer. The tournament will air on OnGameNet's Korean television channel as well as an online English stream. The English casters for the event are MonteCristo and DoA[1]

Format

  • Five teams seeded and seven teams qualifying
  • Round of 12 Group Stage is two groups of six. Each match is Best of two.
    • 1:1 Tie game both teams receive 1 point
    • 2:0 Won team receive 3 points
    • Before Round of 8, there will be "Interleague Play" where two teams of the same standing will play each other.
    • Tiebreakers are in order of Matches Won, Games Differentials, Head to Head, and KDA per Minute.
    • Top four teams of each group advance to the bracket stage.
    • Bottom two teams of each group enter to NLB Winter Platinum League Playoff Round.
  • All bracket stage games are best of five
    • The losers of Quarterfinals enter to NLB Winter Diamond League Bracket Stage.
    • In the Semifinals teams will play two best of fives. If the teams win one each, a final sudden death game will be played
  • The top nine teams will be seeded into the following season. To determine the ninth team, a Seed Challenge match will be played between the two teams placing fifth in the group stage
  • In all Best of Fives, the final game is Blind Pick while other games are Draft Pick
  • At the end of the season, special awards will be given to players
    • A MVP award will be given to one player
      • After each match, the press will decide a MVP and award points
      • Round of 12 awards 100 points, Quarterfinals awards 200 points, Semi-finals awards 300 points, and Finals grants 500 points
      • The Season MVP wins ₩ 10,000,000 (~$10,000)
    • A KDA award will be given to one player of each role
      • The player of each role (Top, Jungle, Mid, AD Carry, and Support) who has the highest Kill-Death-Assist rate will win
      • The KDA leaders win ₩ 2,000,000 (~$2,000)
