The IEM Season 11 - Word Championship is the final event of IEM Season 11, organized by ESL. It will take place at the Spodek Arena, Katowice.

  • Eight teams participate:
  • 2016 Season World Championship - Up to 6 teams
  • At most one team per region (Korea, China, North America, Europe, Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macao, International Wildcard)
  • Teams must reach at least the quarterfinals to be invited
  • In the case of a tie, summer split ranking will be used
  • Teams that qualify this way will be ineligible to be invited to IEM Oakland or IEM Gyeonggi, if applicable
  • Winner of IEM Oakland
  • Winner of IEM Gyeonggi
  • Because no LMS team made Worlds quarterfinals, or qualify from Oakland or Gyeonggi, the LMS 2016 Summer Split Champion, Flash Wolves, is invited
  • Winner's Bracket Round 1 is Bo1. Loser's Bracket Round 1, Round 2, Semifinals, and Finals are Bo3.
