SK Telecom T1 K is a Korean multi-gaming organization founded in 2004. During OLYMPUS Champions Spring 2013, the team was given the nickname "Judgement Day" by DoA and MonteCristo to differentiate the team from their sister team SK Telecom T1 S, which they nicknamed "Terminator". Starting out as a team with strong individual skills that heavily focused on skirmishes, SK Telecom T1 K has grown to become a dominant, global power-house.

OLYMPUS Champions Spring 2013

While SK Telecom T1 itself is a well-established e-sports organization founded in 2004 by StarCraft: Broodwar titan Lim "`Slayers`Boxer" Yo-Hwan, SKT T1 #2 is a relatively new team formed in late-February 2013. Featuring rookie players bengi, Faker, and Piglet, as well as the experienced players in PoohMandu and Impact, they entered their first season in the OGN Champions League in OLYMPUS Champions Spring 2013. With more than half their roster unknown, they surprised many by taking first place in Group A which featured many powerhouse teams such as CJ Entus Blaze and Najin Sword. Rising from the unknown, Faker quickly made a name for himself in a game against MVP Blue where as LeBlanc, went 10-0-1 by 18 minutes and forced a surrender at twenty minutes. While their shotcalling has not been the best in team fights, they quickly make up for it with their fast-paced, aggressive early game, and has successfully picked off other teams with opposing styles, such as KT Rolster B in the quarter finals which many, including OGN casters Doa and MonteCristo, considered their 3-1 victory an upset. While they were thwarted away from their shot at a Royal Road by the hands of MVP Ozone in the semifinals 1-3, they were able to defeat CJ Entus Frost, a perennial powerhouse in the OGN leagues as well as the Season 2 World Runner-up, with a score of 3-0. While it was said that Frost was still suffering from the loss against their sister team Blaze in the semifinals, Judgement Day countered Frost's style deliberately by shutting down the Jungler, CloudTemplar alone in the jungle and avoiding massive team fights and instead forcing skirmishes, which took away from Frost's highly praised team fights (CloudTemplar playing a key part), which also fit well with the team's aggressive style.

With a third place finish, they were seeded into the upcoming HOT6iX Champions Summer 2013.

HOT6iX Champions Summer 2013

They would go into HOT6iX Champions Summer 2013 with high expectations for them, which they would live up to. They would cleanly win their group with a 3-0 showing, advancing to playoffs. Their first match was ironically against the previous SKT T1 lineup, now playing for Jin Air Greenwings Falcons. They would dominate their former brethren 3-0, advancing to the semis. They next faced the Spring champions, MVP Ozone. SKT T1 2 would cause some upsets by winning 3-1, overpowering the former champions in the games they won. The grand finals match would be against two of the most hyped rosters going into summer, with both revamping theirs; SKT T1 2 vs KT Rolster Bullets. It would prove to be a memorable grand finals, going the distance of all five maximum games to decide the winner. The fifth games would go to blind pick and lead to both teams' mids playing  Zed, Faker for SKT T1 and Ryu for KT B. It would include amazing plays but one particular highlight for Faker. The T1 2 team would conquer Bullets, becoming the prestigious Summer champions, winning fans worldwide and keeping a hope alive to possibly win a spot to play at the coveted Season 3 World Championship. The team's own mid player Faker would win the Season MVP prize. The team would next need to win Season 3 Korea Regional Finals in order to go to Worlds in Los Angeles. They would automatically advance to the finals round due to their 1st place finish in OGN Summer. They would go to win a rematch of the OGN Summer finals facing KT Bullets, winning 3-1, gaining a seed to play at the World Championships, along with NaJin Black Sword and Samsung Galaxy Ozone (formerly MVP Ozone).

Season 3 World Championship

SK Telecom T1 Season 3 World Champions lifting up the Summoner's Cup

At the S3 Championship in Los Angeles, SKT T1 2 would be placed into a group with NA favorite Team SoloMid, Europe 2nd seed Lemondogs, formidable OMG from China, and Wildcard winner GamingGear.eu. The team's performance from OGN Summer had made them an early favorite to win or at least advance to the finals going into the tournament with guest OGN analyst MonteCristo leading what would be called, the "Korean Hype Train." T1 2 seemed to live up to the hype as groups commenced, winning games in a convincing fashion with a record of 7-1, only dropping one game to OMG. Able to advance to the Quarterfinals, they would face Taiwanese champions, Gamania Bears and overwhelm them in the set 2-0. Next up for the team was their fellow Koreans, Winter OGN champions and #1 Korean seed, NaJin Black Sword. T1's performance leading up to the match put them as the favorites to win in an somewhat easy fashion as not many had seen NBS in a competitive nature for a few months. That was not the case however as the match turned out to be one of the best series so far in the tournament. Amazing play on each side led to the final 5th game, with T1 2 able to solidify a win, going 3-2 and advancing to the Staple Center huge stage for the Grand Finals versus Royal Club Huang Zu. Although SK Telecom T1 were favorites from the beginning to win the entire thing, Royal Club's showings against OMG and Fnatic had reputed them as foes able to take on the favorites. The Grand Final games would have explosive skirmishes and fights but T1 would continue their domination until the end of the tournament, winning 3-0, winning $1,000,000, and taking home the title of Season 3 League of Legends World Champions.
