Biography

2015 Season

Phil "Jynthe" Vu played with Team Frostbite in the NACS Spring Qualifier in January 2015. They were eliminated in the first round of Bracket B in a 2-0 loss to Team Dragon Knights, who would go on to qualify. After leaving Team Frostbite, Jynthe was a member of the Escalate Legion Gaming roster when they received a competitive ruling for using a ringer on the Challenger Ladder leading up to the NACS Summer Qualifier. Though originally their ban was to end at the start of the 2016 spring season, it was modified to end on November 16th, 2015.

2016 Preseason

In December 2015, Jynthe joined Team Kuso along with InsanityXXX, Azingy, Abou222, and CloudNguyen for the NACS Spring Open Qualifier. The team made it past the first round but then lost to NotLikeThis and were eliminated in the round of 16.

2016 Season

Jythne joined Team Liquid as a substitute just before the NA LCS Summer Season roster lock along with Viper, vvian, Yusan, and Arcsecond. As he was not expected by the community to start in any games, it was a surprise when he was suddenly started in place of fabbbyyy in game 3 of the quarterfinals when Liquid was down 2-0 against Counter Logic Gaming. After giving up first blood in lane, Jynthe helped the team turn it around and had a final KDA of 7/2/6; however, they lost in game 4 and were knocked out of the bracket. On August 15th, Team Liquid announced that Jynthe would be their starting AD carry for the Regional Final Gauntlet. Jynthe wasn't the team's only roster substitution; former mid lane substitute Arcsecond also started in the jungle in place of Dardoch. Team Liquid lost 3-0 to Team EnVyUs in the first round.
