Biography

2014 Season

On February 17th, CaliTrlolz joined Team 8, replacing previous toplaner RicheRich. Despite the fact that RicheRich's departure was believed by many to be the end of the team, CaliTrlolz not only performed well in his role but quickly became recognized as one of the best toplaners in the North American Challenger scene. With the roster of CaliTrlolz, PorpoisePops, Slooshi, frommaplestreet, and Dodo8, Team 8 won two Black Monster Cups (spring and summer) and the Lone Star Clash 3 and placed second in the NACL.

Despite their impressive Challenger record, Team 8 were unable to perform well in the NACS until the second summer series, where they placed first. After a 2015 LCS Spring Promotion Tournament win against compLexity, CaliTrlolz and the rest of the team qualified for the LCS.

After the promotion tournament, CaliTrlolz announced he would be stepping down from the team because he was unable to delay entrance to pharmaceutical school. However, he was successfully able to petition his school to delay for a year with the support of the community and remain on the team to play in the LCS.

2015 Season

In the spring split of the 2015 LCS, Team 8 initially slipped into ninth place after the fifth week. After a more successful end to the season, however, they climbed into a tie for the final playoff spot, but lost the tiebreaker to Team Liquid and settled into seventh with a 9-9 record. In the summer season, Team 8 once again finished the regular season tied for seventh; however, this time, they lost to Cloud9 and were sent to the 2016 Spring Promotion Tournament. They chose Team Imagine as their Challenger opponent and beat them 3-1 to stay in the LCS for the spring season. After the season, CaliTrlolz announced his retirement and return to pharmaceutical school, as he had always planned.
