Giants Gaming jungler Tae-Wan “Wisdom” Kim has requested to leave the team just two months after joining at the tail end of the Spring Split. The player will be heading home to South Korea, and will not return to Europe for the Summer split.

Wisdom joined Giants as a last-gasp measure to try and save the team from relegation. He joined the side after travelling to the 2015 World Championship with KOO Tigers as a substitute player. He featured in Giants’ promotion tournament bid, where the team triumphed over Copenhagen Wolves and Team HUMA to reclaim their spot in the European LCS.

The news may not be welcome for Giants fans, who are also facing the potential loss of their star mid laner Isaac “Xpepii” Flores. The side already struggled through a less-than-impressive split, only just retaining their spot in the LCS. The loss of Wisdom and potential loss of Xpepii could put them in an extremely tight spot heading into Summer.

Right now, this is the only confirmed change in the Giants lineup. The team did, however, hint that more information and roster news could be following in the next few weeks.
