Which LoL champion says ‘Welcome to the swimming city’?

Make a splash.

I let out an audible “wot” when I first saw this LoLdle quote, but I’m happy to say I finally landed on the League of Legends champion who says this line after racking my brain. Read on for some hints and the answer.

LoLdle quote May 13 hints

Hint 1: This champion hit the live servers in 2018.

This League champion is new on the scale of things. I’ve been getting used to writing about OG champs from way back when, but this definitely doesn’t fit into that category. Since releasing in 2018, they’ve made a pretty big impact on the meta, popping in and out of pro play on a regular basis.

Hint 2: This champion is a support.

I’ve seen this champion in the mid lane, but they were designed as a support. They’re not your typical support, though. They’re known for being aggressive, dishing out damage, and securing kills. They’re almost an assassin support.

Hint 3: This champion is from Bilgewater.

This champion is referring to Bilgewater when they say “Welcome to the swimming city.” Bilgewater is a port city full of serpent hunters, dock gangs, and smugglers, and it’s surrounded by water—like an edgy Venice.

Still need help? We have the answer.

Who says “Welcome to the swimming city”?

Answer: The champion who says “Welcome to the swimming city” is Pyke, The Bloodharbor Ripper.

I don’t remember Pyke or anyone saying this quote, but I don’t really play him much anyway. It makes sense considering he lurks around Bilgewater. I definitely wouldn’t want to go swimming with this gruesome champion.

How many guesses did it take you to get to Pyke? Let us know in the comments below and check back tomorrow for the next LoLdle puzzle!
