The latest update for the League of Legends PBE has given us another change to Urgot’s kit, and has also unveiled the loading screens for the new Cats vs. Dogs skins.
Yesterday, Riot Games released some huge changes to Urgot’s kit, like removing the shield from his Purge ability and instead putting it on his E ability, Disdain. However, the latest change has to do with the mana costs on his W.
Riot is apparently lowering the mana cost of Urgot’s W from 40 at all ranks to 40/30/20/10/0. The cooldown on the ability has been increased slightly in the early game, going from 8/6/4/2/0 to 12/9/6/3/0. The final product remains the same, however, with zero mana cost and zero cooldown on his Purge at max ranks.
If these changes do go through, this means that players will be able to have Purge continuously firing in the late game. It is an unusual adjustment, but it may be an effect of Riot trying to balance the shield changes by giving him more damage on his W. So Urgot fans, hold the trigger down and mow down your enemies on the PBE.
In other news, the loading screens for the upcoming Cats vs. Dogs themed skins were added for testing as well. Riot also added in skin bios for the already-released Meowkai and the unreleased Corgi Corki. You can still check all the skins out and the new Urgot changes in the League PBE today.
