With just one week left of the Spring Split, TSM have joined league leaders Immortals, Counter Logic Gaming, and Cloud9 in the playoffs—despite a loss to bottom side Renegades in their second game of the week.

It’s been a rocky season for TSM. After winning seven of their first 10 games, the team fired its coach. Since then, they’ve only won two games—but have still managed to secure at least sixth place.

TSM beat Team Impulse this week before the loss to Renegades, which was also only Renegades’ third win this season. A loss to Team Dignitas in week six also hampered TSM’s progress.

Echo Fox’s loss to CLG, however, put TSM three wins ahead of Rick Fox’s side. Echo Fox are 5-3 after finally overcoming visa issues and fielding their full roster, but their only hope of reaching the playoffs is for either Team Liquid or NRG Esports to lose both their final games and force a playoff match.

With Renegades now confirmed as having to play for their spot in the Summer Promotion tournament, Dignitas, Team Impulse and Echo Fox are also in the danger zone.

League leaders Immortals continued their winning ways, despite a scare against Dignitas. If Immortals beat TSM and Impulse next week, they will finish 17-1 for the split.
