Riot’s LCS playoffs featuring some intriguing first round matches, including Counter Logic Gaming taking on Team Liquid in North America and Unicorns of Love battling Gambit Gaming in Europe.

The Call of Duty world championship featured a number of surprises, the most notable of which was Optic Gaming being upset after losses to Denial and Faze Red. And it was the former team making the deepest run, defeating an upstart Team Revenge in a close final series to claim an oversized $400,000 check.
