European challenger side Gamers2 are making a big change ahead of the LCS expansion tournament. Earlier today, the team announced it was dropping support player Fernando ‘Rydle’ Soria. Now sources close to the team have revealed who will replace him: ex-Supa Hot Crew support Raymond “Kas1ng” Tsang.
Tsang will join the team in its gaming house as soon as he returns home from his time in North America. The change was already set in motion before Gamers2’s latest tournament at Paris Games Week, sources say, implying the decision to make the transfer was made before the team’s recent poor run-of-form
Tsang plays a highly offensive style for a support player, and as such represents a rare pick for any Western team, a region where such players are relatively rare. He could join the team as a playmaking support thanks to his strong mechanical skill, and a set of attributes that might be just what the team needs for victory in the challenger series.
For his part, Rydle had only been with the team for three months before his untimely departure. “The way we play and the way Rydle plays are far apart,” the team wrote. “Rydle also felt a little bit outside the team rhythm.”
