Maxlore Leaves Giants
Nubar “Maxlore” Sarafian announced today on his Twitter that he is leaving Giants Gaming to become a free agent jungler.
My Time with Giants— Nubar Sarafian (@Maxlorelol) 21 November 2016
Maxlore made it very clear that the team struggled following the most recent patches, as it resulted in the team having huge lane swaps. While they attempted to adapt to the changes, they were unable to get into Worlds. Despite this, he feels he found great success with the team when he first joined, and will miss the team a great deal.
Here’s what he had to say in his TwitLonger:
“Overall, I had a fantastic time with Giants. I gained a lot of experience and learned a lot about the game, as well as the aspects outside of the game.
We had a rough start at the beginning of the split, but through hard work, we all stepped up, worked out the meta and how to play the game and we started winning a lot more. We ended third in the split, which felt good and it was amazing for all of us.
When the new patch hit, we faltered and didn't adapt fast enough (we were one of the teams that lane-swapped the most) and unfortunately, we couldn't make it to Worlds.
All in all, I'm extremely happy with how my first split went, the people I met and the journey I took. Thank you to my teammates, the staff and Giants for accepting me and giving me good treatment.
I will miss my teammates and staff, they are all great people. I wish them the best of luck for their future.”
While there has been no confirmation as to what is next for Maxlore, it’s fair to say he will be looking for offers from teams and weighing up his options.
