The Leaderboard: This week in esports
The esports organization's Counter-Strike team struck gold for the second consecutive week at the Faceit League final, where they managed to best Ninjas in Pyjamas for the title. The team was powered by in-game leader Finn “Karrigan” Andersen, who contributed fine sniping skills along with the more dynamic approach the squad has adopted since he took over tactical duties.
TSM’s League of Legends team will hope to replicate that success when they travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to do battle with five of the world’s best teams in the game. European champions Fnatic will be there, but the biggest obstacles in TSM’s way are likely Korean team SK Telecom T1 and Chinese champs Edward Gaming. When SKT meets TSM, all eyes will be on the middle lane as Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg faces off with Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and Lee “Easyhoon” Ji-hoon.
Also discussed is Valve’s latest edition of the Compendium, the Dota 2 crowdfunding tool recently released with a new stretch goal of $15 million to raise for the fifth-annual International tournament.Screengrab via The Know/YouTube
