The NA LCS Summer Split playoffs are underway, and there’s a lot on the line this time around.

Cloud9 and TSM, the former old guard of the North American league,  were having one of the worst years in LCS history. That is, they were, until later in the season when both teams began their ascent back to the top. TSM had been playing so well heading into the quarterfinals that they were the favorites in their knockout bout against Echo Fox—an estimation that proved accurate, as TSM did indeed best Echo Fox, a team that held first place for a significant portion of this split.

C9’s comeback is even more impressive. They went from being in sole possession of last place halfway through the season to finishing in second place and earning a bye in the playoffs. The two long-time rivals will face one another this Saturday. In the other semifinals round, 100 Thieves and Team Liquid will square off. These two faced one another in the finals last split, with the latter taking the trophy and the former as runners-up.

This is one of the most exciting semifinals we’ve had in years, with a high-stakes rematch between 100T and TL and a match between C9 and TSM to prove which team is actually back to form—and we get them on the same weekend. The winner of each series will advance to the finals in Oakland next week.

Here’s everything you need to know about the semifinals this weekend.
