Following Dignitas EU’s success and their qualification to the European LCS, it was imminent that Dignitas, who owned both a North American team and a European team, had to choose to sell one due to the rules imposed by RIOT. Dignitas has decided to sell the latter, which was understandable considering their long history in the NA LCS, and today we finally know who has acquired the team.

FolloweSports (Fe) have announced their purchase of the team, indicating their entrance into the EU LCS. The co-founder of FolloweSports.com, Marty Strenczewilk, had this to say about their new acquisition, “Our move into the European LCS is something that has everyone at Fe totally amped up. The professionalism and excitement that the fans, organizers and players bring to the LCS are almost unmatched across any current eSports league. We’re really happy to have been able to work so well with ODEE and Team Dignitas to make this team a reality for us and cannot wait to get started with the new team.”

Fe have also announced that the Jungle position is vacant and will be announced to the fans at a later date, leaving the FolloweSports line up as: Martin “Wunderwear” Hansen in the top lane, Chres “Sencux” Lauursen in the mid lane, and Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup along with Nicolai “Nisbeth” Nisbeth in the bot lane.

It will be interesting to see who joins the ranks of FolloweSports as time moves on. The organization already has teams in plenty of other games such as, CS:GO, Hearthstone, and Super Smash Bros. and is well established in the eSports community, so I think we can expect good things to out of this team in the next LCS split.
