Fnatic don't look like the kings of the EU LCS anymore after Splyce buried them
Just before the EU LCS' featured showdown of the week between G2 Esports and Misfits, two of Europe's representatives at Rift Rivals duked it out—Fnatic and Splyce.
Even though these two teams were on a completely different level last split, especially during the Spring Split, today was a different story. In this game, Splyce was the team on another level and Fnatic struggled to keep up with them throughout the entire game.
Unfortunately for Fnatic, they never really seemed to be in the game. They picked up a kill to answer Splyce's early on, but after that, Splyce was in total control—even after Fnatic managed to sneak a Baron away with Heimerdinger hiding behind the Baron pit.
It's hard to choose an MVP of this match, because the entire Splyce roster really showed up, but support Raymond "kaSing" Tsang showed a lot of improvement. So far this summer, he's been one of the weakest links on the team, which isn't terribly surprising as he probably just struggled to keep up with the evolving meta of the bot lane. Still, though, today he looked excellent.
KaSing looked much more aggressive than usual, and he didn't seem to bumble into fights alone or get caught in bad spots throughout the laning phase nearly as much. If he can hold onto today's performance, Splyce's bot lane could probably tango with the best in the league.
Splyce's next game is tomorrow at 11am CT against FC Schalke 04, a match that will probably be even easier for them if they play like they did today.
