The second regional match today had the EU LCS up against the GPL. Even though the EU LCS lost in their match against the NA LCS yesterday, they were still the clear favorites coming into this match.

The early game in this match between the EU LCS and GPL was filled with action. This action mainly occurred in the middle and top lane, as both junglers Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski and Đỗ “Levi” Duy Khánh focused their ganks around this side of the map. Despite the kills traded, the EU LCS managed to accumulate a gold lead through better macro play. This gold lead grew throughout the game, and the EU LCS utilized this lead to take the GPL’s inner turrets.
Without any major buffs, the EU LCS managed to take the GPL’s top and bottom inhibitors. Seeing as the GPL couldn’t leave their base due to super minions, the EU LCS took an uncontested Baron at the 26-minute mark. With Baron empowered super minions coming from all three lanes after the EU LCS destroyed the GPL’s final inhibitor, the EU LCS easily ended the game, gaining 100 points for Team Ice.
