Kim “Nagne” Sang-moon revealed his ambition about qualifying for the 2015 World Championship.
By defeating Rebels Anarchy 2-1, the KT Rolster squad was able to defend and keep their 2nd Place standing. Although Game 1 was taken by Rebels Anarchy, KT was able to take Games 2 and 3 thanks to the immense amount of damage that Nagne put out as Viktor and Azir.
Here is Nagne’s MVP interview!
Q. Thoughts on winning today?
Nagne: We didn’t really hope for such a high standing like what we have now. I’m thankful for all of the great work my teammates have put in, and will make sure to make the plays fitting of such a high ranking.
Q. You were able to get MVP two games in a row?
Nagne: We lost so haplessly in Game 1 that everyone took a hit to their mental fortitude. However, we started to play Game 2 more actively, gained resilience and did well overall so we were able to pull off the win.
Q. All your teammates said that they voluntarily give up vacation days?
Nagne: Our head coach said that our vacation days would increase a little if we ended the season in 2nd Place. Resting too much could cause our personal skills to taper off so we told him that it would be better to shorten the vacation days.
Q. Azir was nerfed in this latest patch, is he still a viable pick to play?
Nagne: After I played him I don’t think he’s changed all that much. I think he will keep seeing play if other champions don’t get nerfed.
Q. Is there any team that you’d like to face in the Playoffs?
Nagne: There have been people saying that we’re weak when facing NaJin e-mFire, so I’d like to break the jinx and be able to take the win against them.
Q. What are you planning to do during your vacation?
Nagne: Well, I’m going to try my best to rest. We don’t get vacation often so I’m going to try to meet all my friends and my girlfriend. Of course, I’ll also practice so that my gameplay doesn’t rust.
Q. Do you have any future goals?
Nagne: Our team has that yearning to go to Worlds. I will practice hard so that I don’t become a detriment to my teammates, and qualify for the World Championship.
Q. Any last comments you’d like to make?
Nagne: I’m thankful to the fans who cheer for us even if we slump. We were able to get to where we are now thanks to the head coach and coach of KT. Lastly, I’d like to really thank all of the teammates who have made it here with me.
