LoL: Global Top 20 KDA, KP%, DPM, and GPM
This article contains lists of the top 20 KDA ratios, kill participation rates, damage to champions per minute rates, and earned gold per minute rates in the NA LCS, EU LCS, LCK, and LMS are included. (The LPL does not make its match data available, so LPL players can only be included in the KDA list.)
All of these numbers, and much more, are available at OraclesElixir.com.
The numbers in these lists reflect the first four weeks of the NA and EU LCS 2015 Summer split and the first five weeks of the LCK and LMS 2015 Summer split. The lists only include players who have played at least five games this split.
These stats are presented only for interest and discussion. Interpretations should bear in mind that all numbers come with context, such as strength of opposition, champion selections, game length, and more.
KDA ratio is (Total Kills + Total Assists / Total Deaths). Scroll to the bottom of the page for some commentary and discussion.
KDA ratio is the only table where we can include the LPL. Ironically, none of the LPL's top 75 MVP point earns have a top-20 KDA.
Fnatic's duo lane rules this list, with YellOwStaR at #1 and Rekkles at #2. Players from the Western scene hold 8 of the top 10 spots. It's not that surprising for the LCK to only have three players in the top 20, given the slow pace of LCK games. Less is fighting overall means less KDA inflation. But with that reasoning, we might have expected some LPL representation, since they fight a lot. Parity is another factor: maybe the LCK and LPL just have fewer blowouts?
Santorin has been getting a lot of flak from the NA fans for playing too passively, but he has the world's third highest KDA despite the criticism. He's obviously doing something right.
It's also interesting that there are only two Top players on this list, Ziv and ZionSpartan. Z names OP, confirmed.
- Mountain (highest KDA in the LMS)
- Xmithie (another oft-maligned NA Jungler)
- Arrow (highest KDA in the LCK)
Note: KP% is an average of a player's kill participation across all of the games they've played. Scroll to the bottom of the page for some commentary and discussion.
Sneaky's world-topping average kill participation is phenomenal, astounding, and honestly a bit depressing. This is how heavily Cloud9 relies on their ADC to accomplish anything. It's especially glaring that Meteos isn't on this list (his KP% is ##%). Sneaky isn't getting the cross-map support he needs; he can't do it all himself.
Bjergsen and Karsa deserve call-outs for being the only two Mid laners in the top 20 of KP%. As with Sneaky, this reveals how little TSM and the Flash Wolves accomplish in their other lanes. When combined with his damage output (the next section), it's obvious that Bjergsen is completely putting TSM on his back.
- Three Team Liquid players in the top 8 (IWDominate, Xpecial, Quas): Goes to show how much Liquid relies on team fighting to accomplish anything this split.
- Vizicsacsi (highest Top lane KP%)
Damage to Champions per Minute
Damage to champions per minute (DPM) is calculated separately for each game, then averaged across games, to reduce the effects of game length. Average damage share (Damage%) is included to give some context for the DPM numbers. Scroll to the bottom of the page for some commentary and discussion.
Pobelter has #potential, you guys. I really think he could be a good LCS player one day. Jokes aside, CLG's new Mid has the world's highest average DPM, higher than Faker, Bjergsen, Easyhoon, or any of Europe's much-hyped Mid laners. He's playing a lot of high-damage champions, but so are most players.
But Pobelter's Damage% is only fourth highest on this list, trailing behind Bjergsen, Incarnati0n, Innox, and Faker. Those three players deserve recognition for contributing so much damage to their teams.
- Pepiinero (Diana!?)
- Hjarnan (highest ADC DPM)
- Cpt Jack (can somebody tell me why he is playing so few of Jin Air's games?)
Gold per Minute
Earned gold per minute (EGPM) excludes starting gold and inherent gold per minute. It is calculated separately for each game, then averaged across games, to reduce the effects of game length. Average gold share (Gold%) is included to give some context for the EGPM numbers. Scroll to the bottom of the page for some commentary and discussion.
Doublelift has always taken the lion's share of his team's gold, but now it's official: everyone's favorite nine-fingered AD Carry is the most prolific gold earner in professional League of Legends (unless there's someone in the LPL who could rival him).
I doubt many would have expected to see Altec's name as #2, but after watching his heroic efforts this past weekend, it's not that surprising. Altec is playing super well, and his high Gold% reflects how much his team is prioritizing him to carry their games.
Westdoor edges out Faker for highest-earning Mid lane player, but Faker has a higher Gold%.
MaRin is the only player on this list who isn't an ADC or Mid. He only comes in at #17, but that's a far more impressive rank than a lot of the other players on the list, given that he plays Top.
- Forg1ven (highest Gold %)
- PePiineRo (highest Gold% for a Mid)
