Game developers have been busy at the beginning of 2025 with terrific titles being released. One of them, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, absolutely stole players’ hearts, and many of them believe it’s a contender in the Game of the Year race, especially thanks to one element.
On Feb. 17, Warhorse Studios shared it had already sold two million copies of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. As a result, many players started sharing their personal experiences with the title. The majority of those who have played Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 themselves shouldn’t be surprised with its positive reception. It’s amassing terrific reviews from both journalists and players. At the time of writing, its PC version has an 88 critic score with an 8.5 user score on Metacritic. In our own review of the title, Dot Esports’ Zack Palm gave the game a 9.5 out of 10. “It’s the most fun I’ve had in a medieval RPG in a long time,” he wrote.
Obviously, it’s too early to talk about the Game of the Year awards. The year has barely begun and there are a lot of major releases left, including Grand Theft Auto 6, Borderlands 4 (2K will have a busy fall), and Mafia: The Old Country, just to name a few. Nevertheless, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been making a strong case for itself, and its detailed roadmap won’t allow players to forget it the rest of the year.
