Lethal Company Update v70 patch notes

Zeekerss is cooking again.

After a quiet couple of months, Zeekerss has returned with the first of (hopefully) many updates for Lethal Company. Get your hazmat suits back on, it’s time to blast off into orbit once more for The Company’s benefit.

A new monster, Sigurd audio log, increased Zed Dog spawn chances. Lethal Company exiting early access may be on the horizon, but there are multiple updates between now and then, so keep your eyes peeled on the future of this indie gem.

Here is the full patch notes for Lethal Company v70: The Incubating Update.

Its name says it all: Incubating Update. The sole monster added to this update is the focal point of v70, being a giant wood-pecking monster that’s very territorial of her babies (and rightly so). She is the Giant Sapsucker, an outdoor entity that can appear as soon as you exit the ship to explore.

Found predominantly on Adamance, the Sapsucker protects her babies, sitting on the nest or foraging at nearby trees. She won’t attack unless you get too close or kidnap one of her eggs. She’s harmless so long as you leave her family alone.

Outside of this, a new log for Sigurd’s story titled “Team Synergy” has been added to Artifice, one of the dearest moons to visit in Lethal Company. That’s right, there’s a brand new lore to sink your teeth into. Zeekerss is planning on making these logs randomly appear inside map interiors, rather than having a set spawn on specific moons. But this will be for a future update.

On a smaller scale, new furniture has been added to the ship’s terminal: Fridge, Sofa chair, Dog house, Microwave, and Electric chair. As usual, these will randomly appear in the store’s terminal. Scrap can be stored inside the fridge, providing extra storage space to clear the pile of loot you’d previously dropped straight on the ship’s floor.

The ship monitor (radar) has seen significant improvements in its design. Now you can see the face cam of the player you’re watching, with clearer images of the surrounding terrain and enemy whereabouts, alongside a compass to help with navigation. This will be particularly effective in communication over Walkie-Talkies.

The Radar Booster now clearly shows the surrounding area in Facility interiors. The monitor has been upgraded with 2D sprites, clearing up any visual clutter and making it obvious where items, enemies, and locked doors are. Rooms and the map layout are far easier to see with this overhaul.

Much like R.E.P.O., players will now be able to see the path back to the Main Entrance, being able to clearly provide directions back to the ship by referring to the compass in the bottom-right corner of the screen. This is, of course, only helpful to teams where someone stays in the ship and communicates via radio.

Mansion interior has eight new rooms and hallways, alongside cabinets, adding more accessibility than before. Height of the Mansion interior has been reduced to a more accurate scale, with increased chances of non-linear layouts spawning inside this type of facility.

Minor bug fixes have been addressed, and the Company Cruiser has been updated. The vehicle can now withstand obstacles, and it also tries to keep itself upright at all times. Additionally, the Company Cruiser gets a small speed after changing gears.
