Xixo triumphs in StarLadder i-League Season 2

Xixo has triumphed in the second set of the StarLadder i-League. Find out more about it!

StarLadder i-League Season 2 has concluded and Sebastian “Xixo” Bentert is the new champion, with the trophy going to the side of the west, contrary to last year when Robin took it for China.

The playoff bracket featured four players: Xixo, DrHippi, Naiman and XieShuai, thus the chances of west triumphing again were better. Nevertheless, XieShuai managed to make his way up to the grand finals via the winner’s bracket by first defeating Naiman with a 4-2 win and then Xixo with a close 4-3 series victory. Xixo was dropped in the loser’s bracket, where he faced DrHippi and defeated him with a 4-1 win, just as he did in the first round of the playoffs, making it back to the grand finals.

The score so far was even between Xixo and XieShuai, with Xixo having won 4-2 in the group stage against the Chinese, but having lost earlier in the playoffs in that close 4-3 series. However, it was time for revenge. The German player managed to prevail with a 4-2 win, eliminating XieShuai’s hopes to take the trophy for China once again.

The prestigious trophy came with $20.000 for Xixo and the respective bragging rights.
