Just under a week and we’re already seeing a rise in Secret Paladin. Newton first wrote the guide on his Aggro version here on HSP, powered by Secretkeeper. Then we started seeing people experimenting a more Midrange version and adding cards such as Dr. Boom and Mysterious Challenger to push the deck into a more mid/late game.
And now we have 2 decklists, both Secret Paladins, that have hit Legend Rank 1 on both North America and China.
#1 Legend NA
Cross7244 made Legend Rank 1 with this decklist. It’s more of a midrange version using cards such as Dr. Boom, Spectral Knight and Tirion to help boost the mid/late game. Running 7 secrets and 5 weapons!
#1 Legend China
This was the decklist used to hit #1 Legend on the China server (source). This is a more aggro version – very aggressive spending cards and using Divine Favor to power card draws.
Closing
The meta isn’t set yet, a lot of experimenting are still going on but it looks like Secret Paladin could be well on its way to be part of the new meta deck. Even though it hit Legend #1 on 2 different servers, it doesn’t mean it’s over powered or it’ll dominate the meta like Patron Warrior did. More testing and playing will be done…, it might get crushed once the Patron Warriors make a return to the ladder…
