Welcome back to Streamer Watch! where we showcase some of the top decks of Hearthstone’s best streamers! We have the start of a new season and with it some interesting decks being played early in the Ranks.  I always love the start of the new season as it marks a clean slate, experimentation upon the “guinea pigs” or lower ranks by Legend players, and the creation of innovative decks to try!  Feast upon this latest installment of Streamer Watch!

Milithium Grim Worgen

You can watch him here!

Rank 7

While not necessarily a new idea with the raging worgen + inner rage + charge combo fitting 1 copy of the Worgen and Charge into the Patron Warrior shell plus dr. boom is fairly innovative as it gives some more consistency to the OTK version that depended on this win condition alone.  I like the surprise factor of the late game burst after the grim patrons have done their work.

Trump’s Midrange Hunter

You can watch him here!

I watched Trump build this deck after he referenced his own spreadsheet evaluating the meta and it spit out mid-range hunter as the best deck to play.  Since it’s been a while seeing mid-range hunter on the ladder I thought this deck worthy of posting.

TidesofTime’s Mid-range Druid

You can watch his 24 hour grind here!

Legend 1

I saw this guy reach Legend the first day of the new season with this deck.  A fairly typical Druid list except for the addition of a 2nd mind control tech and the lack of raven idol.  With approximately a 3rd of the ladder flooded with secret pally there is no shortage of targets for the tech’s battlecry.  Overall a very good deck to climb with evidenced by this streamer’s triumphant sprint to reach Legend.

He also used his Control Priest to climb from the earlier ranks to rank 5.  According to his words, he barely lost a match during this span.

Kolento’s Tempo Mage

You can watch him here!

Rank 5

A typical tempo mage without the use of ethreal conjurer that proved effective in reaching rank 5.  Don’t play the flamewaker on curve if it can be easily removed.  Use all the cheap spells at your disposal to get flamewaker juggles to either help clear a board or push for a lot of burst damage.  Don’t underestimate the amount of damage arcane missles can do with this guy on a clean board.

Eloies’s Dragon Priest

You can watch her here!

Rank 3

Dragon Priest is always a good bet against an onslaught of aggro and Eloies leveraged that advantage all the way to rank 3 only days into the new season.  A few interesting card choices included in this dragon shell, namely 1 x museum curator, 1 x zombie chow, 1 x shrinkmeister, 1 x entomb, and 1 x lightbomb.  One often sees either 2 of each or non at all in most priest builds, but I like how Eloies diversifies her list allowing for more flexibility while not giving away too much consistency.

Conclusion

Hopefully a good variety of strong decks for you to make a mad dash through the ranks early on!  I saw success with every one of these decks (except Trump’s hunter because he didn’t end up playing it) so you can feel confident that your are playing a top notch deck list!  Try out a  new deck perhaps or make it a point to reach 500 wins with a new class for the shiny portrait, whatever you do have a blast doing it!  My wish is that this series helps you have more fun :).

As always thank you for reading!

Much love,

P.S. If you want to laugh and have a good time, stop by my stream!
