Shaman is getting a new Elemental in Kobolds and Catacombs

We can barely hear it speak.

Hearthstone’s upcoming expansion, Kobolds and Catacombs, is introducing a new Elemental that will help out Jade Shaman decks.

Murmuring Elemental is a two-mana 1/1 minion with a Battlecry that triggers the next Battlecry you play this turn twice. This card is like a weaker version of Brann Bronzebeard, as Brann triggers all Battlecry abilities twice, while Murmuring Elemental will only do it once on the same turn.

Murmuring Elemental could be very strong in Jade Shaman decks. Cards like Jade Chieftain, Jade Spirit, and Aya Blackpaw combo well with Murmuring Elemental. Jade-themed decks are all about getting your Jade Golem’s bigger and stronger, and triggering the Battlecry twice for one of those cards will give you an extra Jade with better stats.

Murmuring Elemental could also see play in evolve decks. If used on the same turn as Doppelgangster and Saronite Chain Gang to get even more copies of these cards, Evolve becomes stronger on that turn as you will have more minions on board. Most decks also include Jade cards and Murmuring Elemental will help out there as well.

Only costing two mana makes Murmuring Elemental a great card for Shaman because of the decks currently used by the class and its low cost. The 1/1 body doesn’t matter much since the card text is what you are really after here.

Kobolds and Catacombs will be released on Dec. 7. You can pre-order 50 packs now to get a unique card back.
