When popular streamer Harry “MaSsan” Cheong left Team SoloMid on May 1, it was pretty obvious he wasn’t going to stay teamless for long.
Less than two months later, Cheong has signed with one of the top organizations in Hearthstone: Cloud9.
In announcing his departure from TSM, Cheong cited changes within the organisation regarding Hearthstone that he didn’t agree with—but what those changes are still isn’t clear.
One of the most popular Hearthstone streamers on Twitch, Cheong also has a number of online cup victories to his name and competed in the inaugural season of the Kinguin Pro League before dropping out due to personal reasons.
Cheong’s addition comes just three days shy of Cloud9’s one-year anniversary in Hearthstone. The organization was one of the first to open a Hearthstone division.
The team currently includes top competitive players Aleksandr “Kolento” Malsh, Cong “StrifeCro” Shu, Andrew “TidesofTime” Biessener, Jan “Ekop” Palys, captain Marcin “Gnimsh” Filipowicz and popular streamer Rumay “Hafu” Wang.
Cheong’s focus may be on streaming, but Filipowicz told the Daily Dot that he would “definitely be joining some online events.”
