League of Explorers’ First Wing Releases Today! What You Need to Know, Summary and Decks!

League of Explorers‘ first wing – Temple of Osiris – will be released later today! It marks the shortest time ever, between a new adventure/expansion and the previous one, in Hearthstone history (we usually have to wait another month).

And unlike Curse of Naxxramas or Blackrock Mountain – the player don’t get to pre-order the adventure this time (not counting the bug that allowed some people to buy it early – but don’t worry, Blizzard deactivated those cards).

Getting the Adventure

With only 4 wings (instead of the usual 5), the total cost of the adventure is $19.99 USD (entire adventure) or $6.99 USD if you wish to buy each wing individually. If you’re going for the gold coin method – it’s 700 gold per wing.

However, if you want to save money, make sure to buy it via Amazon Coins, which will allow you to save 20%. For more guides on how to do this – check out the guide here.

The ‘Discover’ Mechanic

‘Discover’ gives you 3 choices and you can pick 1 to put in your hand. The 3 choices will be cards usable by your deck/class, but not limited to the deck you are currently playing. Check it out in action in this video from Blizzard’s presentation. Discover mechanic can be found on this week’s Dark Peddler and Jeweled Scarab.

For discussions on this mechanic, check this thread by ClockworkNecktie and this thread by Tarot469.
