After leaving Fnatic‘s Hearthstone roster last week, Jokul “Kaldi” Johannsson is transitioning into a new position with Tempo Storm.
Johannsson has joined Andrey “Reynad” Yanyuk’s organization as an analyst and manager for its Hearthstone division. Johannsson had been working with them in that capacity over the past month while his departure from Fnatic was finalized.
The swift move from Fnatic to Tempo Storm is unsurprising, given that Fnatic’s plans to exit Hearthstone had been known internally for a number of months.
Johannsson has also begun to build a career as a caster and analyst. In taking over some of the backroom functions of Tempo Storm’s Hearthstone team, he fills the role previously occupied by Dan “Frodan” Chou, who’s now the organization’s vice president of operations.
Johannsson is Tempo Storm’s fourth Hearthstone signing in under three months, with the team recently adding competitive players David “JustSaiyan” Shan and Haiyun “Eloise” Tang and arena streamer Johnnie “Ratsmah” Lee,
