Handlock has been a staple meta deck since the beginning of Hearthstone. Its core cards – Twilight Drake, Molten Giant and Mountain Giant – has never left its side throughout its evolution.

The Grant Tournament meta has caused the biggest shift in Handlock’s decklist since its inception. A popular variation now includes changes such as Sludge Belcher and Siphon Soul removed to make room for demons – Voidcaller, Doomguard, Lord Jaraxxus and malganis. These additions were made to combat the meta of Patron Warriors and Secret Paladins.

Card Choices

Acidic Swamp Ooze is a great tech card in a weapon heavy meta, useful against Hunters, Paladins and Warriors.

Consider the addition of Zombie Chow and Sludge Belcher if you find yourself in a aggro heavy meta.

Loatheb can be found in decks geared against Control heavy meta.
