Rogue gains a new secret in the upcoming Kobolds and Catacombs expansion being released next month.
Rogue is getting its first secrets in this Hearthstone expansion and Evasion brings the total up to three. For two mana, the next time your hero takes damage, it goes Immune after taking that damage. Having your hero become immune can be a strong mechanic when used in the right situation.
This card can serve as an Ice Block if used when you are low on life and your opponent has a lot of damage on board or in hand. Or you can avoid taking a big hit from multiple minions you can’t clear yet. This card could be useful in Miracle Rogue once you get all of your pieces together and to keep from dying from the minions your opponent has built up.
Although it can be strong in the right situations, this card can be played around and may not see all that much play in competitive. Since you become Immune after you take the damage, it doesn’t serve its purpose if you get attacked by a large minion or spell initially.
Kobolds and Catacombs will be released on Dec. 7.
