The latest Hearthstone expansion, Knights of the Frozen Throne, is due to be released some time in the next few weeks. The expansion will bring with it 135 new cards for the game.

Acolyte of Agony is the latest card revealed for Priest. It’s not particularly flashy or exciting, but it is potentially a solid option at three mana.

At three mana for a 3/3 body the shape is okay, if unspectacular. The Lifesteal keyword is an intriguing addition, meaning it heals your hero for as much damage as it does every time it attacks.

Unfortunately this card’s major problem is competing with the other options for Priest at the three mana spot. For the same stats you can have Curious Glimmeroot, which allows you to copy a card from your opponent’s deck if you can guess which one of three options is actually in their deck. And of course it’s also competing with Kabal Talonpriest, one of the best three drop minions in the game.

Acolyte of Agony is one of the last Priest cards to be revealed for the set. All that remains now is one rare, and of course the Death Knights Hero card.
