Hearthstone's first full-scale card expansion, Goblins vs Gnomes, drove Hearthstone to a massive month in terms of Twitch viewership, as viewers watched a massive 1.8 billion minutes of Hearthstone streams.

That works out to more than 30 million hours, over 1 million days and 3,494 years of time spent watching other people play our favourite online collectible card game.

The data, compiled by Brett Farrow on goldper10.com from Twitch's API, shows the wide variety of streams being watched by Hearthstone fans. Pro players like Aleksandr "Kolento" Malsh, Andrew "TidesofTime" Biessener and Sebastian "Forsen" Fors are among the most popular streamers, with others such as Jeffrey "Trump" Shih who focus more on streaming than competing near the top of the table. Popular YouTube content creators like John "TotalBiscuit" Bain and The Yogscast also had some of the most popular Hearthstone streams last month.

Shih and Fors are among the group of four who dominate in every way when it comes to measuring Twitch popularity, alongside Octavian "Kripparian" Morosan and Jason "Amaz" Chan.

Chan had the highest peak viewership last month, with 82,459 watching him struggle with the overloaded servers during the Goblins vs. Gnomes release.

Chan wasn't the only one to see his popularity peak during the release window—10 of the top 15 highest peak viewerships for Hearthstone streams came either on one of the release days itself or in the two days immediately following. During much of these days, Hearthstone was the most watched game on Twitch ahead of games like Dota 2 and League of Legends.

Rumay "Hafu" Wang was one of the exceptions, as she saw her peak come at 9:13am GMT on Christmas Day.

While Chan and Shih topped the tables for highest average viewership and highest peak, Kripp fans showed themselves to be the most dedicated to watching his stream. Morosan's viewers watched 4,689,092 hours of his stream alone, more than any other streamer.
