H2k-Gaming builds on strong Hearthstone roster, adds Sottle
Welch has signed with H2k-Gaming after fielding several offers from a number of European teams. Andrew Hartwell, H2k's Hearthstone manager, confirmed the signing in a statement to the Daily Dot.
"I've been watching Simon's career for a long time," Hartwell told the Daily Dot, "and his performances over that period have impressed along with his analytical talent for the game."
Welch had been in high demand after leaving Infused, holding talks with both London Conspiracy and Fnatic before deciding to sign with H2k.
Welch's best tournament performance to date came in the Gfinity Spring Masters I, where he reached the semi finals with victories over the Trig Esports pair of Jan "Faramir" Engelmann and Harald "Powder" Gimre.
H2k have quietly been making a name for themselves in Hearthstone. Only the second division to be added to the organisation, players like Simon "Crane" Raunholst and Erik "Inderen" Kristensen qualifying for Viagame House Cup #3 and #2 respectively. Kristensen also qualified for ESL Katowice.
