Marketed toward professional gamers, the HyperX Cloud Revolver S is one step above the original Cloud Revolver headset.

The Cloud Revolver S iterates on the Cloud Revolver's plush memory foam earcups and steel headband frame by adding Dolby 7.1 surround sound by way of a little USB dongle. With the touch of a button, users can switch surround sound on and off with ease.

"Designed for use by professional gamers and esports teams globally, the premium headset also features multi-platform support, 50 mm drivers, and a noise-cancelling microphone," a HyperX representative said in a statement.

Three additional sound profiles are available for those with differing needs: bass, flat response, and chat profiles. While other headsets need an external mixer to add surround sound, the Cloud Revolver S puts it right on the USB wiring. The Cloud Revolver's wide sound stage just got wider.

"The HyperX Cloud Revolver S headset is our best gaming headset yet—simply plug it in and one click later Dolby quality surround sound is on," HyperX audio business manager Tyler Needles said in a statement. "Combining the perfect balance of audio performance and comfort, Cloud Revolver S will immerse listeners in a cinema quality audio experience."

Up $70 from the original headset, the Cloud Revolver S costs $199.99.
