Elgato is releasing a $400 4K capture card
As 4K gaming increases in popularity and availability, hardware manufacturers are trying to keep pace.
Elgato is releasing the 4K60 Pro capture card, allowing players to capture 4K footage at 60 frames per second.
The $400 device will become available on Nov. 21 and is the first consumer-ready 4K capture card, according to Elgato. The card can capture ultra HD footage on PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X, PC, and other unencrypted HDMI sources.
"4K content is here to stay and demand is booming," Elgato Gaming general manager Julian Fest said. "Content creators shouldn't be limited by the constraints of their capture hardware. The 4K60 Pro gives creators the tools they need to stay ahead of the curve and give their audiences nothing less than the best."
Elgato's Instant Gameview allows creators to capture with "real-time precision and ultra low latency." A dedicated software included with the card allows users to record easily and export to an outside editor.
If you are at the forefront of gaming technology, and have $400 to spend, you can pre-order the card on the Elgato website.
