After being left in the shadow of the HCS North American Pro League, it is finally the European Pro League’s time to shine. With the conclusion of the LCQ today, we now know all six teams who will be playing in June. They are as follows:

  1. X-Men (Jimbo, Chalkie, Snipedrone, TuFoxy)
  2. Online Warriors (Mose, Respectful, Shakey, Kimbo)
  3. Deception (Batchford, Doddle, Phlux, WarLord)
  4. Pulse Gaming (Cxlii, Krystalx, slgslg31, Solar)
  5. Dinosaurs (BUK20, BUK57, Flamez, Qristola)
  6. Realest Tins (Ramirez, Speed, Lunny, interRiotz)

There are a handful of differences between the European and the North American Pro Leagues. The most obvious is the amount of teams; while NA features eight squads, EU only has six. As such, playoffs also work differently for them. The top four teams will move on to playoffs while the bottom two face the chance of being relegated by up and coming teams.

Although nothing has been confirmed, one may also assume that the winners of the NA pro league will receive more money. NA has always been considered to be more competitive, demonstrated by the fact that they have more teams playing in their league.

Hopefully with this new format, more European teams will be able to be sponsored by well known organizations. There are numerous EU orgs that have been around in the past, so hopefully they will see the benefits of returning.

Remember to watch and cheer on these six teams while they play throughout the months of June and July.
