Halo Championship Series Doubles Season 1 Final's Winnings

The eSports League, 343 Industries, and Twitch have been impressed with the recent dedication and competition level heading into the Halo Championship Series Season 1 Finals, and have agreed to double the former prize pool of $50,000 to $100,000.

The eSports League, 343 Industries, and Twitch have been impressed with the recent dedication and competition level heading into the Halo Championship Series Season 1 Finals, and have agreed to double the former prize pool of $50,000 to $100,000.

Recently announced on twitter, ESL stated that they had updated and doubled their prize pool to $100,000.

The HCS Season 1 Finals will be held at the ESL Arena at PAX East in Boston, MA on March 6-8, 2015. Eight of the world’s best Halo competitive teams will fight on the Halo 2 Anniversary edition to become Season 1 Champions.

ESL posted a link to the updated prize pool along with a statement about the upcoming teams that will be competing at the Season 1 Finals:

The final team lineup and brackets have yet to be determined, as we may see upsets to the HCS standings during the HCS Cup #7 (February 15th) and the final HCS LAN event at Gamers for Giving (February 22nd and 23rd). Additionally, one single European team will be flying in to try and secure their spot in the Halo Championship Series Season 1 Finals.

The updated prize pool for the Season 1 Finals:

  • 1st Place: $50,000
  • 2nd Place: $20,000
  • 3rd Place: $10,000
  • 4th Place: $8,000
  • 5th-6th Place: $4,000 each
  • 7th-8th Place: $2,000 each

The Halo Championship Series Season 1 Finals will start on Friday, March 6, 2015. The tournament will kick off at 10:00am EDT everyday. You can find the broadcast for the HCS Season 1 Finals over at - twitch.tv/halo.
