A new The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild mod will allow players to play as Zelda
When The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was first revealed in 2014, many players were speculating about the possibility of playing as a female Link or even Zelda herself in the game's massive world.
Nintendo opted to keep Link as himself, meaning players were forced to save Zelda once again—but now, one modder is going above and beyond the call of duty to give players the chance to fulfill that once long sought after dream.
WilianZilv is working together with Skilar Babcock to create a mod to bring Zelda to life within the game on PC. The mod, like other character modifications, will change Link's model to Zelda—but that hasn't stopped fans from hoping for more.
Will Zelda be saving Zelda? Will they swap out Link for Zelda's model to have the heroine save the hero for a change? Who knows.
One thing is certain, however. When the mod is released to the public sometime in the future, it'll most likely be a popular one.
