On this week’s edition of The Leaderboard, the panel focus in on the recent match fixing scandal in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

The issue concerns one of the top North American Counter-Strike teams, the former iBUYPOWER squad, throwing a match in 2014 and potentially making thousands of dollars off of it. Our panelists consider the implication of the fix, compare it to cheating, and discuss just how prevalent match fixing might be.

As the shadow of Valve’s involvement looms, what’s the right move for Counter-Strike’s massive developer? Does the company take a stand against betting, or maintain the status quo?

We also tackle the hard times being faced by some of StarCraft 2’s top players as Blilzzard’s venerable franchise struggles to keep up with other esports titles, and Riot’s new Mid-Season Invitational event for League of Legends.
