Super Mario Odyssey rewards players for exploration.

The latest and hotly anticipated Nintendo title has 17 Kingdoms. Scattered throughout each of those kingdoms having are moons, the game's main collectable item, and local coins to find.

The Cap kingdom is the main tutorial stage in the game, and the first place you'll start looking to build your collection of coins. In total, it has 50 local coins to collect that players can use to trade in for exclusive costumes, souvenirs, and items.

Here is how to find those 50 coins.

The first few coins are the easiest. After exiting the Odyssey, rotate behind it and keep walking, the first three coins will be hidden behind a hill.

After collecting the first three coins, go over that hill and head towards a small pool. You will find three more coins in the water just waiting to be fished up.

There are no more coins on the starter island, so head into town. You will notice your next set of coins sitting above the archway near the entrance. You will be able to jump up and collect them with ease.

Three secret coins are hidden behind three stumps of wood right next to the cap store. Throw Cappy at them and he will remove them, allowing you to collect them.

These coins are hidden away just behind the cap store behind a set of crates (above). Use Cappy to destroy them.

Under the archway that brought you up in the tutorial level are four more hidden coins. You can either drop from above onto them or, if you feel skillful enough, jump from the side and lunge yourself forward.

After collecting the last set of coins, you will notice a set of four coins hidden under an archway. There is no way to collect these in normal Mario form, so take over a nearby flying Goomba and swoop over to them.

Another set of four coins lie just behind the last four. You will need a flying Goomba once again to access them.

The next three coins are hidden away in an alcove. You can access it in town by dropping down to the section (above) and destroying the crates. Simply walk in and more coins will await you.

The next set of four coins can be accessed after Mario first gains the ability to take over a frog. Walk up to the frog and take it over, then head back to the entrance to the area. Jump up with the frog ability to the top into a pool of water above the entrance. The four coins you seek will be hiding in the air above.

Five of the Cap Kingdom's coins will be suspended in the air just before players ascend to the exit.

In the hidden door behind the large mountain structure lies a challenge. Players can collect five moon shards for a moon or sneak their way through a hole in the floor near the river of death where secret coins are waiting.

In another secret door, this time hidden at the top of the mountain where players face the first boss of the game, is a challenge to progress to the top of an obstacle course. Keep going until you reach the first electrical capture station. The coins won't be hard to miss.
