Combat and recovery improvements
With the new update, combat flow has become much smoother. The invincibility frames during Wuchang’s get‑up animation have been adjusted after being knocked down, meaning you are no longer as exposed to follow‑up attacks while standing back up, thereby reducing early fight frustrations.

Also, healing actions are now much faster. The recovery animation that plays after drinking a healing item can be canceled; all you need to do is perform a dodge. This will give you more control in dangerous situations, letting you quickly return to movement or combat without being locked into a healing animation.
Enemy balance adjustments
Enemy impact resistance has been tuned once more to make light weapons more effective against certain foes. Early‑game monsters can now be staggered more easily by repeated light attacks, rewarding speed and precision.
However, for the enemies that appear later in the game, you can combine spells, weapon skills, and light attack chains to push them into a suppressed state and maintain offensive pressure. These changes encourage varied playstyles, especially if you prefer fast weapon builds.
Environmental hazard rework
Deadly map hazards have been adjusted for better pacing and fairness without reducing overall challenge. Spike traps now have a longer trigger interval, which will give you slightly more reaction time.
Landmine damage in Chapters 2 and 3 has been reduced to lessen the chance of sudden deaths. Additionally, the number of mines in Chapter 3 has been decreased, slightly changing how certain areas are approached. Despite these changes, hazards remain a tactical concern that will influence movement and combat strategy.
Narrative and NPC updates
Story and character interactions have been noticeably improved. Multiple NPCs have their animations updated, movements refined, and upgraded with additional voice lines and dialogue to expand specific story arcs.

A previously game‑breaking issue with the dialogue sequence between Fang Yao and He Youzai has been fixed. Before, the incorrect dialogue order prevented access to the “Bound by Fate’s Threads” and “Dream’s Sweet Deceit” endings.
Level design and world fixes
Several environments have been adjusted for both gameplay flow and technical reliability.
- In Chapter 4, a faction bug affecting certain encounters has been resolved.
- In Chapter 5, elevator wait times during Wuchang’s waiting phase are shorter, and a bug that could trap you at the destination is fixed. Terrain issues that made players get stuck have also been addressed.
Technical and quality-of-life enhancements
Several technical issues have also been resolved:
- Fixed problems with keybinding modifier keys (like Left Shift, Left Ctrl, Left Alt)
- Corrected an inventory bug where the Buddha statue could disappear if the game was force‑quit after being placed in Chapter 1’s Palace Hill
- Addressed specific audio playback stutters on certain hardware setups
- Updated and clarified equipment and item descriptions
Some audio improvements include new and revised NPC voice lines as well as enhancements to Wuchang’s own voiced moments. The devs have also prepared to improve the visual effect when picking up Red Mercury Essence in future updates.
Crash and performance fixes
Patch 1.5 also resolves the following crash conditions:
- Crashes caused by changing the screen resolution in specific scenarios
- Shader‑related errors affecting some NVIDIA GPUs
- Rare GPU hangs caused by extreme or semi‑transparent asset rendering
- Crashes linked to unnecessary rendering calls and animation blueprint concurrency during map loading
