Good news for The Walking Dead fans. The Humble Store is offering Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: Season 1 for free until Saturday.

Featuring five episodes inspired by the original comic book series, The Walking Dead: Season 1 casts players as Lee Everett, a convict who escapes from the law after the zombie infestation begins. Lee proceeds to meet and defend a young orphan named Clementine, and the two venture into the apocalyptic world together to survive the undead.

Telltale's work on Season 1 was considered a breakthrough for the company when the episodic series released back in 2012, with the game's praised for remaining true to The Walking Dead while carving its own path. That's thanks in part to the game's focus on character development and dynamic storytelling over puzzle solving and traditional point-and-click adventure exploration, the latter remaining a hallmark of Telltale games up to The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead: Season 1 is available for free on the Humble Store until Sept. 9 at 1pm ET. The Humble Store's key only works for the game's Steam edition, which runs on Windows PC and Mac. Telltale's other Walking Dead titles are also available on discount during the Humble Bundle End of Summer Sale, including The Walking Dead: Season 2 and The Walking Dead: A New Frontier.
