Pokémon Bank has finally been updated to version 1.4, bringing with it compatibility for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon and the virtual console releases of Pokémon Gold and Silver.

Pokémon Bank is an application and service for Pokémon Games on the Nintendo 3DS. It allows you to deposit, store, and manage your Pokémon in private boxes on the internet. It is a paid service that allows players to easily transfer and store Pokémon throughout all versions of the game, including Pokémon games on the virtual console such as Red, Blue, Yellow, and now Gold and Silver.

With this update, players will be able to send any Pokémon they want from the previous installment into the new game and fight alongside their old companions.

The update is crucial for competitive play. From 2018, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon will be the only game played competitively in the Pokémon Video Game Championships, so a lot of players are hoping to transfer their already competitive ready team to the new game as soon as possible.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon is out now for Nintendo 3DS.
