Destiny 2 is one of just four games that have the honor of being nominated in six different categories for this year's Game Awards, it was announced today.

Bungie's FPS RPG joins hugely popular singleplayer games The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Horizon: Zero Dawn as the only games to have received as many nominations.

Destiny 2 is nominated for Best Action Game, Best Multiplayer, Best Art Direction, Best Score/Music, Best Audio Design, and a new award in Best Ongoing Game.

Best Ongoing Game is meant to reward games "for outstanding development of ongoing content that evolves the player experience over time," and it also includes Overwatch, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Rainbow Six: Siege, Grand Theft Auto Online, and Warframe.

The big award of the show, Game of the Year, has just five nominees—and Destiny 2 is not one of them. The honor belongs instead to Zelda, Mario, PUBG, Horizon, and Persona 5.

A few awards will be decided by fan vote, and fans can cast their votes using Facebook, Google, and Twitter to help decide the winners of Best Esports Player, Best Esports Team, and Most Anticipated Game.

The Game Awards will be live on Dec. 7 on basically every streaming platform you can imagine. The full list of nominees is available on the show's website.
