Suicune is now available for Pokémon Go players in the Americas
Looking for your next big catch in Pokémon Go? It’s time to get out there and get at it, as the Legendary Pokémon Suicune is now available for capture in North and South America.
Previously, the Legendary Pokémon rotation brought the electric type Raikou to the region, but that’s all changed today, as Suicune replaces it as the former Asia-Pacific region-specific raid boss.
The legendary raid boss is a pure water type that you’ll need to take down in a Legendary raid battle at a Gym, which will require you to work in tandem with a team of several trainers. You’ll first have to defeat the Pokémon you want to capture if you want a go at adding it to your collection, so make sure you’re fully prepared before your Raid battle begins. In order to participate, you’ll need a Legendary Raid Pass, so don’t jump into the fight unless you’re ready.
Suicuine marks the final part of the Legendary dog trio to debut in Pokémon Go in the Americas, so if you missed out on Entei and Raikou previously, you might want to make it a point on this spooky Halloween afternoon to get out there and nab a Suicune before the limited-time event ends.
If you’re not interested in catching Suicune, you might want to take part in the Halloween event, which gives you additional Candy rewards any time you catch, transfer, or hatch a Pokémon. Your Buddy Pokémon will also receive more Candy when you’re out and about. This event will end on Nov. 2, so make sure to participate while you still can.
