Splatoon 2's upcoming Splatfest has just been revealed, and it looks to be a decisive one for bookworms and movie buffs. Starting Dec. 9 at 4pm CET, players will fight against one another to decide if films or books are superior.

Europe's December Splatfest, which was announced earlier today via Nintendo of Europe's Twitter account, will have Splatoon 2 players pick a side and fight for their personal preference over the weekend. So expect the battlefield to become competitive fast.

Generally speaking, Europe's Splatfests tend to be a bit more subdued than North America's. In November, American fans battled over whether science-fiction or fantasy was superior. In comparison, European fans fought each other in October over how they put toilet paper onto their bathrooms' rolls. While one can make the claim that America's Splatfests are superior to Europe's, expect more quirky Splatfests to land in both regions for Splatoon 2 in the near future.
