According to some leaked footage, it looks like two characters are about to make their way to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, dubbed Smash 4 by fans, and one is a heavy-hitter.

The footage above shows Ryu from Super Street Fighter and Roy from Fire Emblem joining Smash 4’s already large roster. Ryu is quite possibly the most recognizable character from a fighting game, and Roy was a popular character in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

In April, a Reddit user came across sound files hidden within the game that hinted at these two characters. The videos above seem to be ones that are used upon clearing classic mode.

It also looks like various other assets were pulled in the latest Japanese update of the game. These include character renders, new stages, trophies, and costumes.

There is a chance that this could all be an elaborate hoax. We’ve been fooled by the prospect of Rayman coming to Smash 4 in the past. However, there is a Nintendo Direct scheduled for tomorrow that plans on discussing Lucas, another character already confirmed for Smash 4. It’s very likely that Roy and Ryu will officially be announced tomorrow.
