In its first few months since entering Steam early access, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has become one of the most popular games in the world. Developer Bluehole Studio has done a solid job of updating the game consistently, with both weekly and monthly patches to better optimize the experience and add more content.

Since the last man standing, battle royale title is all about loot and finding weapons in the world to defeat your enemies, we have some ideas for additional weapons to add some more variety and excitement to each and every game.

As PUBG expands, so too should the loot available.

MP7

PUBG could use some more submachine guns, as right now there are only three, and they're not the best options in the field. The MP7 would be a great start, as its up-close accuracy, customization options, and fast fire rate would make it a solid addition as a normal loot drop around military locations. It uses 4.6mm rounds.

P90

The P90 SMG is well known by gamers due to its inclusion in multiple games, like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and numerous Call of Duty titles. This thing is a beast and its 50 round 5.7x28mm magazine makes it a bullet hose at close to medium range, meaning it should probably be limited as a care package drop.

FAMAS G2

Assault rifles in PUBG are pretty well covered by guns like the M16, AKM, and SCAR-L. The FAMAS G2 is a 5.56 French bullpup rifle with a very fast fire rate (1,000-1,100 rounds per minute) and it can be equipped with a bayonet, as seen above.

M82A1

Right now, the AWM is the king of sniper rifles in PUBG. The addition of the Barrett M82A1 .50 caliber sniper rifle would change that. This thing is a monster, and should be confined to a very small chance to drop in a Care Package.

Desert Eagle

Pistols are some of the weakest options when it comes to firearms in PUBG, but the .50 caliber Desert Eagle would be able to hold its own against anything up close. The potential for insane "one-Deag" highlights makes this an exciting prospect.

M60

The M249 is the only light machine gun currently in PUBG, so adding the M60 makes sense for the sake of expansion. Using 7.62 rounds, the M60 can hold up to 100 shots in its beltfed magazine, meaning it can be used to spray and suppress an enemy in cover very well. Due to its power and clip size, it should be a Care Package drop.

Ballistic Knife

Melee weapons are often overlooked in PUBG, other than the frying pan which can stop bullets when equipped on a player's back, but the ballistic knife could change that. This knife is spring-loaded and can be fired as a projectile, as well as a melee weapon to stab an enemy up close. It would immediately have the potential to shake up the melee weapon meta.
